UCLA PREP is a seven-week program designed to provide premedical and predental students from disadvantaged backgrounds with a means of strengthening their ability and readiness to study medicine or dentistry. Berkeley Hillel
Past 4 years, Berkeley Hillel has taken groups to Mississippi and Louisiana to aid with hurricane relief, working with The Inter-faith Disaster Task Force and National Relief Network.

Cal Corps Public Service Center
Spring Break student-led alternative breaks allow students to “work, eat, and live with the people who are directly impacted by racism, poverty, and other injustices addressed in pre-trip De Cal courses.” Each break is a memorable, fun, and rewarding experience and allows students to focus on either immigration, health and education, public health, or poverty.

One Heart Source - Tanzania
One Heart Source runs 8 and 4-week programs to fight the cycle of HIV/AIDS and poverty in Tanzania. Volunteers work and stay in villages and become integral members of the community.
