• There’s no “pre-med” major at UC Berkeley, however there are science majors that incorporate the pre-med requirements into the major pre-requisites. The most common “pre-med” majors are Integrative Biology and Molecular and Cell Biology. However, there are many science and health related majors available along with other non-science majors. When picking a major, choose a subject that you are interested in.
• If your major does not involved the pre-med pre-requisites, you will have to fit the classes into your schedule in addition to your major requirements. You do not need a science major to apply to medical school and medical schools do not prefer certain majors over others.
